Dr. Douglas Greer was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. He attended the University of Utah, where he graduated with a degree in Biology. He continued his education at the University of Utah School of Medicine. Dr. Greer then completed a general surgery residency at Huntington Hospital in Pasadena, California. His medical training continued with a fellowship in Minimally Invasive/Bariatric Surgery with world renowned surgeon, Dr. Kelvin Higa, in Fresno, California.
Dr. Greer now joins Rocky Mountain Associated Physicians as a Board Certified General Surgeon. His practice focuses on bariatric surgery, anti-reflux surgery, hernia repair, gallbladder disease, and other advanced laparoscopic and robotic procedures. When not at work, Dr. Greer can be found spending time with his wife and three children. He enjoys many of the outdoor activities that Utah has to offer, such as hiking, camping, skiing, and fly fishing. He is fluent in Spanish.
