I had Duodenal Switch (DS) surgery on 12/21/18, and lost a total of 160 pounds. I had health problems for two months after surgery, which included pulmonary embolism in March with a huge infection caused by a bacterium called Serratia marcescens.
Yes, I am alive and healthy. Thank you, God, and to all the amazing doctors who took care of me. I learned to respect my body, nurture it with only what I need. Also, I learned how to love myself again, and every pound lost was a big celebration. If you ask me was it worth it? OH YESSSS!
Never give up, never regret, and you will succeed!
