Our staff here at Rocky Mountain Associated Physicians (RMAP) strive to assist in the improvement of the health of individuals who suffer from the disease of Morbid Obesity and its co-morbidities. We desire that all of our patients achieve improved health and an enriched quality of life through significant weight reduction by the method of weight loss surgery, nutritional and behavioral education.
We love for you to get to know the faces of what makes RMAP such a great team, and this week our staff spotlight is our Nurse Practitioner, Lissa Hutchings. Lissa helps assist our surgeons here at RMAP with follow up care to our patients. She helps answer any questions that the medical assistants and patients might have, and she helps take such great care of our patients during their weight loss surgery journey. She also teaches our Medical Support Group and our Weight Management Support Group.
Lissa joined the team as a Nurse Practitioner in 2018. She is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner specializing in family medicine. She is certified by and a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. She practiced as a Registered Nurse for 10 years before she received her Masters of Science in Nursing degree from Maryville University in 2017.
Lissa selected family practice as she enjoys building relationships with patients of all ages, gender and complexity. She has a strong passion for disease prevention and management, women’s health, weight management as well as common day to day concerns. In her personal time, she enjoys spending time camping, fishing and traveling with her spouse and son.
Love Lissa as much as we do? Let her know and be sure to leave her a message on our Facebook page, send an email to her at email@example.com, give her a call at (801) 268-3800, or write her a card and send it to 1160 E. 3900 S. STE 4100, Salt Lake City, UT 84124.
