Help us welcome Erika to the Rocky Mountain Associated Physicians (RMAP)<\/a> family as our virtual and in-person Support Groups Host! She will be the host for our emotional and weight regain support groups.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/span><\/p>\n

Erika graduated from Weber State University in December of 2014 with her bachelor\u2019s degree in psychology. She went on to graduate with her Masters of Social Work degree from Walden University in November of 2021, obtaining her Certified Social Worker professional license in December of 2021. She served a one year AmeriCorps service term in 2020, working with individuals struggling with homelessness and housing insecurity. <\/span><\/p>\n

Throughout her internships for her master\u2019s program, as well as for several months after graduation, she worked with individuals struggling with substance abuse and dependence. She currently works as an outpatient behavioral health specialist at the Weight Treatment Center in St. Mark\u2019s Hospital. She works with a variety of patients who come through the clinic, including those who are preoperative and postoperative from bariatric surgery. Having undergone gastric bypass surgery herself in 2018, she uses her personal experiences and passion to help others. <\/span><\/p>\n

In her free time, she enjoys practicing and teaching yoga, walking, reading, and spending time with her husband and animals.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
